Expanded Commercial Products FAQ Available

Are these products the same specification as the Inflatables used by Rental Companies, carnivals, etc?

Yes.  Thousands of rental companies and bounce centers use Blast Zone Commercial Grade inflatables in their fleet. Blast Zone Commercial Grade inflatables are manufactured entirely of commercial grade high-tensile strength vinyl.  Impact areas, using 18oz vinyl, are additionally reinforced up to 72oz using ultrasonic adhesion of multiple sheets of vinyl.  Blast Zone commercial vinyl inflatables are manufactured to strict ASTM guidelines for commercial inflatable manufacturing.

Please beware of inflatables claiming to be "commercial grade," which do not use full commercial grade vinyl and membranes in their products.  Some products in the marketplace do not conform to ASTM manufacturing standards, and will not withstand the rigors of regular commercial use.  The specification of the vinyl, including the denier, thread count density, and vinyl weight are all critical to the integrity of the inflatable.

What Weight is your Vinyl?

This question is a bit complex, because of the multitude of components and processes that go into creating Blast Zone commercial inflatables.  Everything from 72oz (for reinforced impact areas) to 18oz vinyl for structural component surfacing (such as bounce and slide surfaces), to 7oz (for decorative non-structural areas such as palm fronds) are used in assembly.

The goal in the construction of BZ commercial Inflatables is to create the most durable, safe product possible, that is manageable and practical for the owner.  Over years of production and hundreds-of-thousands of products created and sold, numerous safety and quality advancements have been achieved.

Impact surfaces, which take the structural abuse in the inflatable, utilize 18 oz vinyl, which is additionally reinforced up to "72 OZ."  This reinforcement process is achieved by permanently fusing together multiple sheets of vinyl near the assembly area, before the components are joined together.  This creates a virtually impenetrable joint for ultimate durability.

Additionally as important are the high-grade webbing in the vinyl we use, which provides the material its tensile strength.  Please note some specifications listed here may exceed those in older product literature, as the products have been continuously upgraded over time.

Why Do most of your Commercial Inflatables Ship Via Freight Truck?

Commercial Grade Vinyl is heavy.  UPS and FedEx Ground carry packages up to 150 lbs.  Most Blast Zone Commercial Inflatables over 10' weigh more than 150 Lbs, and require truck service.  Beware of inflatables claiming to be "Commercial Grade" which ship with small package services.

Because Blast Zone Commercial Inflatables ship LTL, Expedited shipping services are generally unavailable.  Typically our reputable LTL carriers such as UPS Freight and FedEx Freight will provide a traceable curbside service, where they will unload the palletized shipment to the ground at the shipping address.

Why are your prices so competitive?

Blast Zone keeps prices competitive in order to help businesses achieve the maximum ROI, and minimize entry barriers associated with equipment costs.  We are able to offer such competitive prices without sacrificing quality by manufacturing products within our own facilities, using highly-efficient production-line manufacturing strategies.  All Patterns are CNC cut, ensuring identical, high quality products from each production lot.

What are membranes, and why are they important?

The membranes are the "guts" of your inflatable.  Generally, membranes give the inflatable its structural integrity, through sheets sewn into the inside of the inflatable.  In bouncers, these membranes run along the bounce floor in a series of channels which attach the base of the inflatable to the top of the bounce floor at the seams.  This gives the floor its visible rolling surface pattern, and gives the unit its bounce.  During use, the membranes expand and contract as the user jumps up and down.

Unfortunately, because the membranes are inaccessible to the the buyer, some manufacturers may cut corners in the membranes used.  This can include using poor/reduced material specs, or assembling scraps of materials into patchwork membranes, which fail much earlier than proper membranes.

Blast Zone Commercial Inflatables use High-Tensile membranes, reinforced with a one-inch polypropylene reinforcement strip on the membranes attachment points. This results in flexibility in the membrane with added durability of the seams, because they are attached onto the reinforced areas, rather than directly to the membrane.

What is the difference between Blast Zone Commercial and Blast Zone Residential Specifications?

Blast Zone Commercial Grade products are designed for regular, commercial and institutional use.  These products are made of full commercial vinyl in all components, are substantially heavier, and are designed to withstand frequent, long-term use.  These commercial inflatables are also designed to be insured, and adhere to ASTM standards for the manufacturing of commercial inflatables.  Blast Zone Commercial Inflatables carry an extended, 2 year full warranty, as well as Blast Zone's exclusive 5 Year promise.

Blast Zone residential (home use) inflatables are designed for families and homeowners, using a more cost-effective structure.  These inflatables are manufactured for less-frequent use, and utilize lighter commercial-grade bounce and slide surfaces, with polyester oxford support components (Sides, Bases, Pillars).  These inflatables are designed to comply with ASTM Toy Standards, CPSC guidelines, and ASTM guidelines for Home Use Inflatables.

Is there a warranty on your products?
